Friday!
This is going to be my Friday anthem every week!
One of the stupidest lines I have heard in my life, "At least it wasn't another woman." I have heard this line more than once in talk shows when wives knew their husbands were unfaithful and on sending in the hidden cameras found out that their husbands were sleeping with a man and not a woman. Lady please! Does it make a difference? In fact if I were in their shoes I would be even more shocked. In those cases it means a) you were so blinded by love that you married a gay man b) your game was so whack you made him gay. Whichever it is it doesn't soften the blow at all! But anyway, that's one unique thing about women; most of them can rationalise anything especially when love is involved. I remember the Standard once did some articles about abused women who chose to stay in their relationships ( I would search for it but the Standard's search engine is a steaming load of crap), there was one woman who said; " Even though he beats me almost every other day, he doesn't look at other women and comes home only to me." Yes he saves his kicks and punches for only you, tell her what she's won Johnny! "Of course! You now win various bruises, some broken bones, an occasional concussion and utter humiliation! Thank you for playing the love and marriage game!"
Anyway what do I know about Women and dating? I need to go to the Movie Buff school of Relationships to learn a thing or two. Nice weekend all!
Am going to have a good weekend allright, considering its my last weekend at home before I finally go to campus.... I have always wondered why women stick in abusive r/ships, if its love, I hope never to fall in love..
Oh... I could never understand that either... my mama never let a man hit me when i was younger (although she used to beat me like a man)... She used to hit my daddy like she was the man.. and my grandma shot the man that hit her.. So i dont know nothing about getting beat on by no man.. and I wish a mofo would cheat on me with a man.. I would be furious... There would be some chop chop action going on.. cuz i would be that angry..
Ok this school.........where is the manual? We could all learn something from it. But I somehow understand women who stay in abusive relationships, dont condone it but get why they do it. Enjoy your weekend!
@ frankie Have a great weekend! Enjoy campus! @ aegeus Cheers! @ movie buff I am going to hype it until you start one! @ mzcoko Seems your mum was harsh! The women in your family arent to be mssed with! @ 3N I tell you going to that school will change a woman's life! Relationship issues are very hard to understand I tell you. @ half n half I will send you the prospectus soonest! @ nakeel Seems your granma is a very wise woman! Dont let those words of wisdom be forgotten!
Yaani....that video is tha OFF THE HINGES. Yaani I am rapidly swinging over to the funky house/dance music that my pals are labelling me a closet jungu!!!
Alafu that domestic violence stuff, one slap and I am out of there. I dont care if kids are involved. This is an issue close to my heart and if a jamaa letas nyokonyoko......i show him my ass and the sole of my shoe. PERIOD!!!

That part really killed me yaani ati so long he doesn't look the other manyake's ni sawa tu to be beaten.....thanx aco this just my day!...
Where are the application forms for this school? Is there a uniform? Do we take packed lunc ama school lunches? Lakini if there are assignments/ coursework/ homework yaada yaada....I am out.
I think men who beat up women are weak. I think women who stay with men that beat them are legless. I think the women who walk out of abusive relationships are the brave ones.
I think if you love someone, you treat them the same way you wold have them treat you. So the day a man who is not my father (and seeing I am past primary school as well) lifts his hand to beat me.......oh, it's one.Ngumi kwa ngumi, then I am off to my father's house. Kwani?
Cheating and abuse are deal-breakers. I think the emotional abuse is what makes it more difficult for women to leave coz they feel powerless. "At least he comes home to me" is a horrible way to rationalize the situation.
b) your game was so whack you made him gay. LOL! for me there are no excuses!! I wouldn't be too quick to criticize women (or men) who stay in abusive relationships. In some cultures too, u know a woman is never right, she will be beaten, complains about it and is asked what she did wrong.
Life is War.To master the art of war is simple enough. Find out where your enemy is. Get at him as soon as you can. Strike him as hard as you can, and keep moving.

Sometimes I feel for women who haven’t gone to Movie Buff’s school of relationships, LOL.
Women should never ever let any man raise their hands against them. I will never understand how anyone carries on an abusive relationship.
Happy Weekend Aco

You do have a point there. Seriously, your man leaves you for another man, and you're cool with it coz it's not another woman? Shameless!
But I'd be very interested to know your reaction if the reverse occured i.e. a man whose wife leaves him for another woman.
Women in abusive relationships, I have no words. What can I say that hasn't already been said?
@Movie Buff: do you give scholarships?
Yaani....that video is tha OFF THE HINGES. Yaani I am rapidly swinging over to the funky house/dance music that my pals are labelling me a closet jungu!!!
Off to read the rest...
previous comment...I meant slamming tune!
Cheating is cheating regardless of the gender!!!

cheating is cheating. I agree with Mocha, and it is not just the physical aspect: emotionally, mentally.
