Weird commercials and uneccessary issues

I don't know about you but I have always found that commercial vaguely disturbing. If I was that lady I would have taken to my heels or as we used to say scattered! It sure doesn't make me want to buy Skittles anymore then before.

Yesterday I was subject of one of those "we need to talk" moments. No I was not being booted but I was subject to one of those moments when a woman over analyses every action and word that you have done or said over the past week and gives them meaning that you yourself did not know was possible.Of course me being the bastion of logic I see myself as attempted to insert logic into the mix.It was as useful as trying to empty a swimming pool with a sieve.Anyway I ended up having to spend valuable sleeping time (she came over at 11.30pm) talking about things that I didnt even know I had done, listening to my sins being rehashed and putting on the appropriate expression of remorse. The whole incident yesterday showed me that some of the very qualities that you may find somewhat attractive about someone may be the same things that repulse you later on. My laid back almost imperturbable manner is now being seen as non-chalance and aloofness. I was told that I am hard to understand because I act like one moment I would be petting puppies and the next moment stabbing them to death, that there doesn't seem to be a mid ground with me.At this point I wanted to tell her to screw herself but I put on a face with the appropriate show of empathy and said that I understand and I would try to work on that much to her delight. Fact is that I am a simple man and with women the simpler you are the more complicated you are.I think if I started drama and tantrums I would get less expressions of concern. Why is it women seem to love some sort of drama or the other? The fact that I don't run around smiling like the joker and being soft and lovable doesnt mean that on the other hand that I am planning on a mass slaying. It just means that I am not smiling that's all.Sheesh!Women are hard to understand!Good thing that I got that drama out of the way and things are back to normal in Acolyte land!

ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha haha.... wohoooo.... women are still trying to understand men??? Jeez luiz! When will people ever learn????

But u r so right, people have a tendency to over analyze stuff, especially when it is the simplest....... WHAT DO PEOPLE WANT DAMNIT?!!

As for the commercial... it creeps me out when I see it... but I love me some skittles!!!!!!!

Daddy, you are trying to understand chiles? Just look for another hobby. Me i can never understand chiles. I have been through enough scenarios for me to realize that chiles can be as complicated as hell. When things are calm and cool, a fight will be started. and if you kataa to participate in that fight, then you are in trouble.

@ msanii
Tell me about it.Yes Mike's hard lemonade ads are off the wall too!
@ udi
You don't know how hard it is sitting on a couch when you want to be in bed being told what is wrong with the dose, what you have been doing (which you don't remember doing). For me I thought the days before that were a lull but kumbe a storm was gathering!Ati I was being asked what my issues is?!Women!!!!

This reminds me of that episode in Friends when Rachel writes Ross an 18 page letter detailing why they broke up... It was so hilarious LOL. Anyway in order to understand us read men are from us women are from venus.... thats like the starter manual LOL

I see the lost one has returned! If this problem reccurs I may just have to get hold of that book!

I refuse. That book "men are from mars and women are from venus" is just a pack of lies... ok.. maybe not lies, but it is just self help propaganda spiced up with generalizations...... and yes I have read the book

I see we are on the same page!I have never trusted all those relationship advice books on the market. But I have never read that book so I'll keep your comment in mind!
@ M
I had a pal of mine who whenever he was given that line, he was dumped. So when his third chic gave him that line,he didnt even show up for the talk.Plus you hardly do any talking when that line comes up.

I totally feel you man! Had similar problem (tho' this time colleague in the office). A question as simple as "how was your wknd?" would return to bite my thigh with allegations that i implied that she didn't have a life! HOW WEIRD IS THAT!!!!

Yep, Laid back is the way to go. They shld have a boy's class in primo where u practise how to remorsefully bob your head in agreement for 1 afternoon every week! Shld do a lot of good.

Oh, Aco, don't temp me! Don't make me write a "What's wrong with men" post. I'll tell. It won't be pretty.

Aco...Aco....double sigh...Aco...

Where do I start????? At the risk of hijacking your post...or maybe I should just put THOSE thoughts in a new one....

But yes. I agree with you. The very xxx's that draw you to someone may be the very things that inevitably push you away from them as time goes by.

If anything, there's an article I came across in a Reader's Digest that shows just how big a gap there is between the sexes, communication-wise, the one that ends with Roger asking his tennis partner "Did Elaine ever own a horse"....yeah, that one, am sure you've prolly come across it...

And no, women are not the only critters hard to understand, people generally are. SOME people as it is don't understand themselves, how can you try to figure them?????

Outta here before the expression on your face gets even more menacing...

Glad that things are back to normal though...

@ kibet
What I have learnt with women is that it's not what you say but how you say it.
But the nodding move with the appropriate look of remorse always works!
@ kenyanchick
You are more then welcome to do the chic's side of things!
@ jadekitten
I do agree with you, some people whether male or female are just complicated as ever!
But it's good to have things back to normal over here I must say!
